About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker living in Chicago and licensed to provide psychotherapy across the state of Illinois. I became a therapist because of my own experiences in therapy and believe in the positive impact it can have. As a queer and neurodivergent person, I also know that therapy often does not have these identities in mind. Because of this, I strive to create a therapeutic space that is supportive of queerness, neurodiversity, and of all marginalized identities. I believe that therapy can be a radical space of healing from the pain afflicted by our society.
I grew up in an evangelical Christian environment and went through a painful deconstruction process through college and early adulthood. I now hold spirituality with an open hand and connect to spirituality through nature, yoga, reading tarot, journaling, and engaging in community. I honor each person’s individual spiritual experiences and journeys, including no connection to spirituality at all.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in Chicago Public Schools as a teacher of the visually impaired and school social worker. In these positions I became increasingly interesting in collaborating with students’ parents, which lead me to my love of working with adults. I first worked as a therapist at a group practice before starting my own private practice. In addition to providing therapy to adults, I also provide early intervention services for young children who are visually impaired and conduct developmental assessments for young children in foster care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs, watching TV, reading, doing yoga, and exploring local parks.
